Naming of attached files for Mantis reports

timrowledge
A plea for a little extra care when you attach files to Mantis
reports - *please* could you name the file to include the report number?

Something like FooBrokenOnThursdays-M9999.cs.gz is much more helpful
than FooBrokenOnThursdays.cs.gz when one is looking through a bunch
of downloaded files and trying to work out what problem they might
relate to.

Thank you for you consideration.

I agree that this is a good idea.  In fact I have made it
'semi-official' by adding a news story to bugs.squeak.org requesting
this.

It will never happen in my opinion. A better approach is if Mantis can
automatically rename the files you download, appending the bug id.

Or reject the file when you upload it if it doesn't have the right
suffix.

This will complicate the already too complicated process of submitting
bug reports.
