Hurray!  The Croquet SDK beta got mentioned in the OpenGL news at
http://www.opengl.org/  Probably someone on this list submitted the
article in the first place.

And on the same day, OpenGL reported that Google announced the free
version of SketchUp, which is a pretty cool 3D modeler.  Too bad it
doesn't export to something that Croquet can import ...

...but it does still include Ruby scripting which could be used to create
some export support (there are already some user created scripts do that for
some open source renderers).
