Folks,
As promised, I've gotten the first post in a series of how-to's uploaded to my blog. These guides are for common folks, n00bs, and non-Smalltalk developers who need some hand holding. I've been following the Croquet project for years, but continue to struggle with Squeak. I hope that the experiences and lessons that I learn as I continue to design, develop, and experiment in Croquet will be of help to others who want to get started working with this exciting project. Right on time, I was ready to bail. Please keep it up. My experience has been similar to the one Clovis Ledbetter found himself in, when he climbed up into a tree to knock a wild cat out of it for the hunters below. The wild cat turned on him, scratching, snarling, biting, spitting and clawing poor ole Clovis up until he hollered down, -"SOMEONE PLEASE shoot up here amongst us! ONE of us has GOT to get some relief!" -Jerry Clower, country comedian extraordinaire. <chuckles> Ric -- ================================================ My father, Victor Moore (Vic) used to say: "There are two Great Sins in the world... ..the Sin of Ignorance, and the Sin of Stupidity. Only the former may be overcome." R.I.P. Dad. There will certainly be more to come... Glad it was of help.
