Re: Blue Book Interpreter/ObjectMemory/BitBlt NOT SPAM

Wolfgang Helbig-2
Hi List,

Mario Wolczko kindly put his machine readable copy of the above code on his
web page:
        http://www.wolczko.com/st80/.
Thank you, Mario.

Then I've put two text files at:
        http://www.ba-stuttgart.de/~helbig/st80/

They contain remarks, questions, and even answers that came to my mind when
studying the Object Memory from the Blue Book and the image file format from the
sources of the Hobbes Emulator. Some of the questions are still unanswered and
marked with '???'.

Enjoy!

Wolfgang

Hi Mario,

the TeX files from your dissertation in the msc.tar.gz tarball still produce
human readable output. Without figures and references. I have created empty
files for some missing macro files: dismac.tex, refmacs.tex, dismac2.tex and
conmacs.tex. In the file mymacs.tex you replace the unknown sans serif fonts
ams* by the known sans serif fonts cms* and you are ready to run

        $ tex dissbody
and
        $ tex dissfront

This will give you DVI files, ready to be viewed with xdvi or printed by dvi2ps

To the list: It's worth it! Not only for computer archeology but also for the
clear definitions of objects and classes and some other key features of ST.

This dissertation certainly deserves to be another chapter of the Green Book.

Greetings
Wolfgang
