John,

Severin confirms that the named serial prims are working on Linux, so I
think you have a green light to incorporate the unix serial support on
OS X.

I don't know if you also want to do an update to the original sqMacSerialPort.c.
If so I can send you a possibly workable patch based on the changes that
I scratched together for Windows that ...ahem... did not even compile ;)

I'll see about going with the unix ones they should *just* compile
