Regular Expression matching?

David Faught
Has anyone looked at doing regular expression matching in Squeak using
the Thompson NFA as described at
http://lambda-the-ultimate.org/node/2064 ???  Looking back in the
maillist archive, I see lots of references to Perl-style matching via
a plugin.  Did some RE matching get included in the "full" Squeak
image at some point?

The RePlugin written by Andy Greenberg some years ago has been in the
VMMaker package for a long time. I don't recall hearing of any
agreement about incorporating any regular expression code in the
image, whether using the plugin or not.

Mmm, I added it to the Mac Carbon VM a few years back.
