Since it relies on FFI it wouldn't become part of trunk. But having it as a supported package shipped with Squeak would be awesome!
There seem to be other things in Sophie to get, such as SophieImageReadWriter for "copy/paste of graphic data". I'm not sure what that is, but it sounds cool.
On Mac and Linux, copying and pasting images works in Etoys. On Windows, at least pasting works (I think).
