Squeak-3.9-7.i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz extract error

Brad Fuller
I dnl'd
     Squeak-3.9-7.i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz
from
    http://squeakvm.org/unix/

but couldn't extract it. Tried it twice. Is there something wrong with the package?

If you're trying to extract it on a non-unix machine you might have
trouble with soft links. I've had a few similar problems in the past.

Cheers,

Brad,

The archive seems intact.  There are no errors (only successful transfers) in the recent logs for that file.  Maybe try a different browser or wget or curl?

Cheers,
Ian

thanks - it's FC5. Just seems like the file is corrupt. If someone could
download the same file and try to extract it, I'd know it's ok and it's
my fault :-(

(Squeak-3.9-7.src.tar.gz extracts just fine)

What I was using was KDE's built in extract in Konqueror. For some
reason, that doesn't work for this file.
I successfully extracted it in two steps, gzip and then tar.

Thanks for the help,
