Squeak speed under Mac OS X

Aleksander -- You might try using the 3.7-7 Unix VM for your image  
which you can download from http://squeakvm.org/unix/ . I have found  
some of the newer vm's can really slow down the system especially if  
you are using some of the true type fonts.
