Hi all,
Due to family and work pressures, I've had to down-select the number of activities I'm involved in. Squeak is one of them that I've stepped away from temporarily. With that, I don't want to jeopardize one of the community's most popular web sites -- squeaksource. Presently I own squeaksource DNS zone and it is up for renewal now and will expire on May 12, 2007. Does anyone or the community want to take ownership of this zone? I've not transferred zones before, but I suspect it isn't too hard. Best Regards, John Pierce PS - Make sure to reply to me as I'm presently not subscribed to the list. PSS - I hope to be back working Squeak soon again. I really *really* love programming in Smalltalk. -- The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. I think I can safely speak for my colleagues in the board by proposing
that SqF takes the domain and site if no-one else steps up... Other people would step up if necessary, but the SqF ought to be the owner of the domain. As far as the web site goes, people ought to be encouraged to work on web sites for awhile. I have found squeaksource very useful, but every web site can be improved, and I'd love to see someone try. -Ralph Johnson |

Indeed. IMHO this should be an alias for projects.squeak.org ... - Bert - |

Creating an alias (source.squeak.org was suggested) has been discussed more than one year ago but there was never a decision, hence it never happened. Adrian |

If it isn't too expensive I would be up for adopting the domain. Can someone else run the image though or would I be in charge of all of that?
