This is kinda strange. As I note before I finally got to see the bunny
rabbit, although there were flashes in the display. According to nVidia
rep I do not need to have the mesa software version of openGL installed
as my video card handles that through it's driver. Using software is
slower than using hardware, so I bought that.
I cranked up a 3D game which bitterly complained about libGLU (GLUT) not
being installed. So I re-installed it and the game was running about
60-70 frames per second where it used to give me about 25-29. Ok! Faster
now! But, when I crank up Croquet is segfaults when I open a demo.
Otherwise every thing else, like the games, monticello browser, etc.
works just fine and the entire response does seem to be faster. Until I
crank up one of the demos and she folds like a bad poker hand. Who
should I post the error messages to? Do I still have to apply the patch
for nVidia or is that included in the 1.0 release?
Thanks! Ric
