modem access context for no rabbit but VR

Paul Sheldon-2
Anyone with the clout to complain straight to yahoo
about the line breaks it forces on me do so.

I imagine a window 72 characters wide and break phrases
so it is human readable with text wrapping in a text editor.

Right now, I got the thread
is how the new version gets the rabbit to appear in linux
and the promise or lack of promise to some of the new version "8".

Linus users are their own system administrators and fuss in the dark
rather than throw money at microsoft or apple.
Hopefully they don't whine and complain at "them"
and go to that lonely place where "us is them".

How do you choreograph an "us is them"?

Forgive a little gag that might help see the way to choreograph this :
----------------

I believe all you would have to do is have a mob find a blog
and have a confederate demand 72 characters wide window
to fascilitate this phrase break thing I do
and the others of the mob flame him
and yahoo would rethink push technology.

A real flame hurts bad, but this might be a good satirical thing to do
(with a playwrite writing a good ending for the flamed guy,
say he gets married to an English major
and becomes a class 2 system administrator who everyone loves
becomes president and saves the world.
Who did the remake of Fly with Jeff Goldbloom?).

This might be extreme fun thing to do before the iPhone.

;-)

Be afraid, be very afraid.

;-)

Off gag now :
----------

As in dragnet Jack Webb on stage : "Just the facts, mam, only the facts".

I had, long ago, gotten the rabbit to jump
between macintosh virtual computer worlds
on my home wifi.

I had not been in any Croquet virtual world awhile and updated
through modem internet connection to see changes.

I think I recall right, I just press update and get 8.
Is that memory right?
Is incremental update button smart enough to tell me when it is not enough?

After incremental update,
I stayed online through modem and the the VR of the world, but
not my rabbit appeared.

I further did not observe the cursor double before entering the VR.
Cursor doubling means one cursor responding to my mouse
and the other and the other frozen where the cursor had been
awaiting, I suppose, ak nak from "the other side".

;-)

I went offline and the double cursor came back as well as the rabbit.
I suppose the misleading connecting was debugged and removed, so,
while the double cursor and me not having any network up,
I didn't see connecting to comfort me that all was as it had been
and would proceed to the same sort of place.

Now, I have to go around the VR at my "localhost"
(worlds on one computrer) and see what is new to see
or how action has changed.

There had been some wierd discouraging stuff in previous versions
where I'd try to go through a looking glass and
jump off the island instead and have to fly back.
Time spent flying back slowed feedback to me guessing what was going on
with desktop metaphors.
It was sort of like juggling with tennis balls rather than rice sacks,
you'd spend a lot of time running after dropped balls
and never just practice.

I am very curious whether the looking glasses work better.

Executive summary :
1. "us is them" a gag to provide metaphor supporting
"the gift economy" from business model of "Brief History of the Future"
2. facts deviding and conquering of problem of forming hypotheses
as strategy to rabbit nonappearance
(ak nak event split in collaborative VR somewhat fleshed out,
be afraid be very afraid of "fear of the flesh";
I listened to the entire directors cut on the darned remake of the Fly)

;-)

Gags aren't exactly cool in the black and white visible in an e mail
according to netiquette and the Rand Corporation.
Please imagine me kindly smiling and not sneering
about the fly in the ointment
of the class 2 system adminstrator saving the world.

Don't be afraid (don't watch the fly remake too much either)!

;-)
