I've posted a new VM to the usual places, 3.8.12b4U (universal Mac
powerpc/intel, certified for Croquet).
http://www.smalltalkconsulting.com/squeak.htmlThis VM changes the sleep logic to use select() versus nano-sleep().
In testing, a nano-sleep() VM
seems to use 35% of the CPU, versus 12% for select(). No one managed
to notice this but in the
past people have mumble when the idle CPU for their background squeak
VMs seem too high.
Lastly I'll note all Croquet tests past, including the socket latency
tests.
The WebTeam I've CCed can update the ftp site with this version
