Seems like the server is down again. Maybe it needs a wiggle.

We actually had a server hardware freeze. The hosting service did a  
manual reset, but not before Monday (we're not paying for that level  
of support). Cross your fingers this was a one-time glitch (last  
year's freeze required changing various components).

As Bert replied this was due (in this case) to a general server
outage.  

I find it interesting that of the two emails I received noting the
server outage both were specifically about source.squeak.org.
