Awesome stuff. They do not support NVME disks yet, but when they do, I look forward to using your work! ---- On Tue, 26 May 2020 09:19:17 -0400 stes <[hidden email]> wrote ----

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 I'm just making an IPS package for the VM, I guess the real work is the work of the Squeak and OpenSmalltalk community. The good news is that the IPS package is an easy way to install the VM, at least I myself as a beginner I find it easy to install the package, as opposed to compile a VM from scratch. For the Smalltalk images and sources these still have to be downloaded from http://files.squeak.org. These packages are Intel only (32bit and 64bit), but perhaps a SPARC version, could be possible in the future as well; In the past there was a SPARC version: http://squeakvm.org/unix/release/Squeak-3.7-7.sparc-sun-solaris2.9.tar.gz http://squeakvm.org/unix/release/Squeak-3.7-7.i386-pc-solaris2.9.tar.gz So it should be possible, just to maintain the old code, and adapt it to recent hardware as the current SPARC generation is a few generations ahead of the old code.
