[squeak-dev] About Refactoring Core

garduino
Hi:

I used to use Refactoring Browser. On newest images (as 3.10.2) I
found the "Refactoring Core" package to install, with the comment that
has not browser included.

How/Were I can get the Refactoring Browser to use this newest
Refactoring Core (I don't wants to use Omnibrowser)?

Thanks.

I split the huge RefactoringEngine package into two sub-packages:
Refactoring-Core and Refactoring-Tests. In the process I dropped all
the UI related code, because it was incomplete, partly broken and sort
of obsolete with the OmniBrowser integration.

If anybody is interested maintaining the old Morphic code that should
be no big deal. Just create a new package named Refactoring-Morphic
containing the diff between the packages RefactoringEngine-md.48.mcz
and Refactoring-Core-lr.1.mcz (minus the package rename).

Cheers,
Lukas

Thanks by the clarification Lukas.

And having such Refactoring-Morphic created should work with
Refactoring-Core? I meant, how will get integrated?

By other hand, the option sould be Omni?

Cheers.
Germán.

Yeah, it should work well (minus the bugs that were there before).
There will probably be  probably some class extensions to
Refactoring-Core, but that should be no problem.

OmniBrowser has a complete and up-to-date integration of the latest
refactoring tools. I exclusively use OmniBrowser for all my work for
many years now.

Ok, thanks again.

I don't liked Omni because looked a bit bloat to me, but may be I
should try it again.

Cheers.
Germán.

Y ahi extrae Refactory-edc.3812.mcz
Sin Monticello :=)
