[squeak-dev] Call for Content: ESUG DVD 08

Marcus Denker
Hi,

We are now putting together the DVD for ESUG 08. We'l start with the
DVD07 and update everything.

       - Vendors or Open Source Projects can provide a complete
directory (with html and installer),
if they want. (We actually would prefer that... you can do a
much better job in presenting than we!).

Well, I hope you replace VW 7.5 NC with the current VW 7.6 NC.  Also,
ObjectStudio 8 NC is available from the Cincom Website.

I should also clarify - we (Cincom) do not own the IP rights for VSE
(Seagull out of Holland does).  As an artifact of the sale of VW to
Cincom, we inherited the same rights that ObjectShare had.  Meaning,
we can sell maintenance agreements and we can release bug fixes, but
we can't do more than that.

In terms of being able to make VSE open source, or give it away, we
simply do not own the rights that would allow us to make any decision
(for or against) in that regard.
