[squeak-dev] New News Team Leader

Ron Teitelbaum
Hi All,

I would like to announce that Michael Davies is taking over as the Squeak
News Team Leader.  Michael has done a terrific putting together articles and
staying on top of new developments in our community.

I will continue to post new articles as time permits and be a part of the
news team.  I would also like to stress that we could use more volunteers in
the news team to help keep Squeak in the news.  Please contact Michael if
you would like to volunteer.

Please help me to welcome Michael Davies as the new Squeak News Team Leader!

Thanks,

Ron Teitelbaum

You are welcome!  It's been a lot of fun!  Plus I'm still on the team.

Ron,
Thanks for all your work as News Team Leader. I hope that I'm able to
keep The Weekly Squeak as interesting and popular as it has been under
your direction!

Just so everyone's aware of my sources, I look for interesting news in
the squeak-dev, beginners, and seaside mailing lists, the
planet.squeak.org blogs, and a Google News alert for mentions of
Squeak, Seaside, Croquet and eToys.

I don't use Croquet or eToys myself, so I may miss or mis-interpret
stories on those subjects, so if anybody spots any interesting news
items on these (or indeed any) topics, please let me know - finding
the news is the hardest part of the job!

I also promote suitable stories by posting them to
programming.reddit.com . Please let me know if there are other
audiences that would find our news interesting. And of course, please
vote up any Squeak news you find on such sites!

Please feel free to contact me with questions, suggestions or news items.

Michael
