Having setup
[hidden email] , I would like to get
the Packages Teams going once more. I am looking for volunteers to look
after the package definitions for each of the major Squeak releases. The
objective being to get as many packages as possible available in any and
all of the squeak base images.
In particular it would be good to have one "custodian" for each of 3.7,
3.8 , 3.9, 3.10, 3.11, Croquet, etoys OLPC and Pharo.
Since 3.7, and 3.9/10 have been able to adopt the definitions from
Universes, this leaves 3.8 looking rather unsupported.
Responsibilities of Custodians.
1. Learn some of the finer points of the Sake/Packages system.
2. Do a first pass of the package definitions, defining the unstable and
stable definitions in their branch.
this should at least enable users to attempt to load of most packages
into that version, thus starting the feedback loop.
3. Check feedback on any packages which do not load as expected and
update package definitions accordingly.
4. Flag any packages which should load but need a fix or two
any takers?
