squeak-vm license in Linux

José Luis Redrejo
I can see Squeak license is still the never-ending story, but I'm not so sure for the vm.
When downloading the linux sources the license I see is a very free license, without the old Apple restrictions.
But I'm not very sure this apply to the full sources, as part of the sources are generated by VMMaker from the image.
So, does anybody know a way to guess if the source generated with VMMaker is already relicensed?

Thanks in advance.

Well, I am. Since less people have touched it we need less people to
okay the relicensing. Given the usual contributors for VM stuff (Tim,
John, Ian, Bert, David, etc) I'm pretty sure that VMMaker is de facto
already relicensed.

Cheers,

That's what Ian said, too. The unix VM is purely MIT licensed.

Thanks for your quick answer. So, if no one of the current debian guys in this list have any objection, I'm going to fill an ITP to include the vm in Debian.
In Extremadura (LinEx) we're working hard to merge our efforts with Debian Edu and one of the main needs is including all the software we're using in our "mother" distribution. So, at least, the vm will be available in a  clean Debian Edu  or LinEx installation.

Cheers
