In that case there are two problems with the rewrite.
Btw, Eliot didn't mention it in the other thread, but #class is currently
a way to avoid suspension points, just like #==, #ifNil:ifNotNil:,
#caseOf:otherwise:, ifTrue:ifFalse:, etc.
