Below are the 5.0.1 issues for which code fixes are pending in "resolved" status on the Etoys Tracker (http://tracker.squeakland.org/).
Each of these now needs to be "committed" (or questioned) by one of the usual "committers" (that would be Karl, Ricardo, and Bert, I believe). Once that is done, interested users will be able to load updates (answering Yes when asked whether to "Load the latest packages from the default repository?") into their 5.0 systems in order to benefit from -- and test -- these proposed fixes. We are still hoping for a very-early-summer release for the 5.0.1 bug-fix update. Action on the issues below (by the committers) and, generally, comments and suggestions from the Etoys community on these, any any other 5.0.1-related issues, would be appreciated. --------- SQ-1045 Exception when halo around Enhanced Text and typed <CMD-O> - 07/May/12 SQ-1085 ScratchConnect broadcast tile doesn't work in ScriptEditor - 11/Jun/12 SQ-1086 improve ScratchClientMorph vocabulary - 14/Jun/12 SQ-1087 ScratchConnect Player>>sensorUpdate: lacks a space - 12/Jun/12 SQ-1088 click on the color swatch in a color-valued argument tile seen in a viewer should put up a color picker - 11/Jun/12 SQ-1094 Dropping a GIF into Etoys gives DNU - 12/Jun/12 SQ-1096 Rotating thumb nail image of viewer cause system freeze - 07/Jun/12 SQ-1099 If you "include" an object to a holder with "show thumbnails" checked it does not become a thumbnail - 11/Jun/12 Additionally, a fix addressing SQ-1095 - "A project created in Etoys 5.0 will not run in Etoys 4.x" was committed earlier this month and is already present in the update stream. -- Scott _______________________________________________ squeakland mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.squeakland.org/mailman/listinfo/squeakland |

Here's the remaining issues list: http://tracker.squeakland.org/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?mode=hide&requestId=10470 I think we can safely postpone the non-critical issues, and the remaining are VM problems. I made a new to-go for testing. In about an hour, Etoys-To-Go-5.0.1.zip (70 MB) should have finished uploading to http://etoys.squeak.org/download/ If you have an XO, please also test OLPC's upcoming 12.1.0 release, which includes Etoys 5: http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Release_notes/12.1.0 This is scheduled for release in early July, so we need to make sure it works, now. - Bert - _______________________________________________ squeakland mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.squeakland.org/mailman/listinfo/squeakland |
