trunk "Load Code Updates" - no feedback once pressed

Randal L. Schwartz

I find it a bit annoying that there's no immediate feedback when
I press "Load Code Updates" that something is happening.

It'd be nice if the UI *immediately* changed state once the button
was released, and then had some sort of dialog box at the end to show
that the process was successful and perhaps a summary of what happened.

I stared at the code for about 20 minutes and didn't see where to hook
things in.  Maybe someone with 21 minutes can stare at it and propose
a patch? :)

Should be better with the last round of updates. I'm not sure how to
give a good summary though, so I resorted to an inform: with just the
highest update number. If anyone has a better idea, feel free to enhance
the information.

Cheers,
