Squeak 4.2 final now out! « The Weekly Squeak
Feb 3, 2011 ... See Help > Welcome Workspaces > Welcome to Squeak 4.2 for ...
news.squeak.org/2011/02/03/squeak-4-2-final-now-out/ - Cached Follow the first one. There is no download link on the 4.2 release page that I can see. This page is out of date, still referring to "release time sometin=me in January".
Click the "top" link to get to http://wiki.squeak.org/squeak. The obvious link to click is "Downloading Squeak". The top link http://ftp.squeak.org/current_stable/ takes us to a 4.1 download. The rest of the page talks about 3.10, 3.9 and earlier.
I would update these pages but I don't know /where/ the 4.2 release is, because... of the above.

OK, found it. Updated the release and downloads page on the wiki to be more current. Please feel free to improve on my quick edits.

I asked the maintainers to update it several times (giving proper links, etc) without any effect. I think the contents of the website should be reviewed and updated ASAP. Any volunteers? Levente P.S.: here's another recent mail from the beginners list pointing out the same problem: http://lists.squeakfoundation.org/pipermail/beginners/2011-May/007822.html > > Best regards > Stefan > > > On 01 Mar 2011, at 19:57, Eliot Miranda wrote: > >> OK, found it. The Mac VM seems to be old, too.

Well, I've fixed the first one. I'm in the process of saving the second
change and it's hanging or something. So Maybe I'll have to do that in half an hour. As for the VM stuff, we should probably just wipe all those links and forward people to squeakvm.org. Chris |

Ok, I think that's got the second one too.
