The code of gwenael is in the Refactoring engine so he delivered, he
is still working and improving it. The one of Mathieu is in the newcompiler so he delivered. On Feb 20, 2009, at 8:08 AM, Andreas Raab wrote: > Klaus D. Hi all
below are the mails I exchanged. I was confused (sorry ken probably my english) after because I thought klaus and ken would take the lead. Now if a fuse is needed I can be this one and GSOC is important for our community but if one person is against, I simply drop and do not want to do anything with it. As a result I think IRCBot http://www.squeaksoure.com/IRCBot.html (feel free to ask for dev rights) is well positioned for growth. It works, it is certainly able to connect to multiple channels and I believe multiple servers and has a modular utility framework. A couple of modules were started and can serve well as examples but are a little rough and need completion and polishing. Also there was no time for the grandiose list of services we envisioned. Improving it is on my own todo list, but so far down that hope is not strong. Ken signature.asc (196 bytes) Download Attachment |

Giovanni asked for volunteers in public, asking them to respond privately[1]. Aik-Siong responded to Giovanni privately. Giovanni, during the 2009-02-19 leadership team meeting, suggested that Aik-Siong be the next GSOC administrator. We approved. I missed that point in the notes for that meeting. As I said I can help but will not be the leading force.
Giovanni made a good job in the past.
