(hoping that since Keith used the word, you won't think this is off-topic, which it is...)

Have you guys read the "Manifesto of the Futurist Programmers"?

HOOO-YEAH!  Now there's a MANIFESTO!  Too bad they're biased against objects... in the "Futurist Programming Notes" (http://www.graficaobscura.com/future/index.html) they have these humorous definitions:
- structured programming = slow
- modular = bloated
- extensible = late
- reusable = buggy
- object-oriented = slow and bloated and late and buggy

I can't blame them too much, thinking of the state of pigs like Eclipse 15 years after they penned their manifesto.  But, I have a feeling that they'd sympathize with Ian's COLA.

Cheers,
Josh

meh.

Too simple. Writing a plain ol' rant and using "manifesto" as the heading is just so lame ... ;-)

Best,

Michael

Haha, that made my evening! A nice adaptation of the Futurism Manifesto.

great, wonderful! I had the impression that there was a satirical edge
to this, but could not quite put the lid on it. Thanks for the
pointer! Now I know what rang a bell ... :-)

Best,

Michael
