Problem creating SqueakMap release from SqueakSource release

Milan Zimmermann-2
Hi,

This is the first time I am creating a SqueakMap release from SqueakSource, so
this should perhaps go to newbies .. I may forward it there once I figure it
out.

OK, I am trying to create a SqueakMap release from SqueakSource. I have
accounts on both, and there is a MCZ release on SqueakSource. On
SqueakSource, I:

        - login
        - select project
        - click "Latest" button
        - click "details" link on one of the Project's MCZ
        - click "SqueakMap release" button
        - set SqueakMap login, and add version comments, click "Save"

        - I assumed this would create a SqueakMap release , but instead I get:

=================================
ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

While trying to retrieve the
URL: /sm/packagebyname/MorphicWrappers/newrelease?version=.%20Pl (loong link)

The following error was encountered:

    * Invalid URL

Some aspect of the requested URL is incorrect. Possible problems:

    * Missing or incorrect access protocol (should be `http://'' or similar)
    * Missing hostname
    * Illegal double-escape in the URL-Path
    * Illegal character in hostname; underscores are not allowed

What am I doing wrong - perhaps I need to create the SqueakMap release
manually, or am missing something else obvious ...

Thanks Milan

Just for reference - I have never done this myself. IIRC Avi wrote it.

The '/sm/packagebyname/MorphicWrappers' is correct, and I would guess
the rest of the URL too.

BUT... why is there not a protocol and a host in front?

Could the Squeaksource.com installation be wrongly configured?

Goran,

Thanks again for commenting. Is it fair to say that the "standard" way of
creating a project on SqueakMap is to simply create it there, and upload the
MCZ? (Rather then try to publish it from SqueakSource?)

A few comments inline:

Not sure - this is the way it comes out when I click "Save", I did cut
something at the end, looked like HTTP query params. The full text is here if
it makes any difference:

Would this be SqueakSource global config or something with my login? I am not
sure I can debug it apart from installing and running SqueakCource and
SqueakMap somehow ..

Thanks for your help, Milan

No way! ;)
The problem is a very, very bad class. One of the worst classes in
Squeak. It doesn't suffer from duplication, it suffers from
triplication (or even worse). You know who I speak about:
HTTPSocket

Goran,

I ended up creating a Package on SqueakMap manually and uploading it there.

Thanks for your help, Milan
